On 18 April India local time, TECNO Mobile, one of Transsion's mobile brands sets foot in India market. With its PIXELEX image processing engine and unique ‘151’ promise, the company unveiled its ‘Made for India’ ‘i’ series.

By years of efforts and deep consumer inghts, TECNO Mobile has now become a household mobile phone brand in African countries. Following the same brand philosophy, TECNO Mobile promises to delight Indian consumers by launching i-series of smartphones equipped with innovative camera features identified in the ‘Indian photography preference’ survey conducted with a sample size of 2000 Indians in 4 states.

As part of its ‘Do The Undoable’ product DNA in India, all TECNO products come with a unique, image processing PIXELEX engine that enables consumers to capture images truer to Indian skin tones even in low light conditions. TECNO has entered the Indian market with ‘i’ series which includes i7, i5, i5 Pro, i3 and i3 Pro smartphones respectively. In the first phase of launch, TECNO products will be available in the North Indian states of Punjab, Rajasthan and North Western state of Gujarat. TECNO Mobile’s wide reach of over 125 distributor points, more than 10,000 retail stores and service network of around 140 touch points are the key considerations for choosing these markets in addition to the strong smartphone penetration in these markets.

With stunning design and ‘Made for India’ features, ‘i’ series allows consumers to own the night with its image processing PIXELEX engine that allows brighter night photography. The software algorithm of the camera is optimized as per Indian consumer localized needs in terms of skin tone, colour preference, contrast etc.  The smartphones are also equipped with an anti-oil fingerprint sensor that provides hassle free access to the phone under all Indian lifestyle and weather conditions.

The product range comes with bigger batteries to ensure uninterrupted usage in terms of web browsing, reading or even consuming video content. To enhance the battery experience, TECNO smartphones come with Rocket Charging that helps reduce the charging time by at least 20% as compared to traditional fast charge.

TECNO smartphones are based on the latest Android Nougat 7.0 along with the highly customizable HiOS for a holistic and enriching smartphone experience. Users can enjoy easy multitasking powered by 4GB RAM /32 GB ROM in i7.

The range has a stylish all-metal body and sits amazingly light in the hand owing to narrow bezel and slim design even with high capacity batteries. The product portfolio consists of five new innovative smartphones priced competitively at INR 7990 to 14990 (MOP). These new products come in the exciting colors of Champagne Gold, Sky Black and Space Grey.
